Nate Waggoner & the Easies Once In A While We Get To Say Something About Our Friends And that’s  the place I get to talk about today.

I work with Nate at the Clark County Shooting Park in Las Vegas, NV. We’re both Line Safety Officers (what that means is that we stop people from pointing guns at each other or their feet or I guess anywhere where they shouldn’t be).

By the way, Nate’s FaceBook Page is here. Nate tells me he is going back to live in Kentucky. That’s where his heart is, that’s where his music is.

By the way, Nate’s music can be heard at:And Nate’s CD is here. I know that this isn’t a music website but, this kid is good! I’m within a few week’s of becoming 60 and I guess that gives me the right to call this young adult “kid”. By the way, Nate’s MySpace Page is here.

He has an interesting front cover as his cd cover. I wish I could have taken the images for him. Not because of any notoriety that it would have brought me but, because it just would have been a fun gig to shoot! I would like to give Nate a big sendoff before he leaves in a couple of weeks. This blog entry will have to do!

In a full moon, after Thanksgiving 2007. I was trying to photograph a rising moon in Zion National Park, UT. The moon was to rise between 2 mountains in a “V” pattern (it did this the month before).

I guessed wrong upon where the moon was to rise.

I turned around and I was surprised that there was another mountain, moon lit.

Some say, a “Happy Image” just happens, just luck.

A “Happy Image” just doesn’t happen… You need to have the tools of the trade in your hands AND you need to be in the process of using them…

I was happy about this image…

What a night!

We attended the Hot Air Balloon Glow in Page, AZ.

You may not know this but, I’m living at a RV Park in Mesa, AZ. It’s called Arizona Maverik. My first “permanent ” RV Park. I’ll be leaving in the next month to 6 weeks or so, destination unknown. I know it’ll be north of here. Way north of here. The 110 to 120 degree days here aren’t really for me.I’ll try to photograph what I can here before leaving. Anyway…

Tonight, we were having a “Residents Appreciation Picnic”. Just before the picnic was to start we could see a dust storm coming from the east. Just as sudden as we could see the dust storm headed our way, it turned and headed north before getting to us. The dust just hung in the air all night.

As the sun was setting, it gave us quite a show. Heavy clouds of an impending rain storm brought out some very dynamic images and some very pretty colors. This is one of those images.
